Terms and Conditions


1. Scope of Work:
– The services provided by Steven Lewis Painting & Decorating include interior and exterior
paining/decorating, surface preparation, and minor repairs as specified in the agreed quotation.

 

2. Quotations and Payments:
– Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date issued.
– A deposit of 30-50% is required to secure the booking, with the balance due upon completion of the
project.
-Payments made 30 days past the due date will occur a 5% fee for every 30 days past the due date.
– Payments can be made via check, cash, or credit card. Credit cards may occur processing fees.

 

3. Project Timeline:
– The estimated start and completion dates will be agreed upon before the project begins. Delays
caused by unforeseen circumstances (e.g., weather conditions) will be communicated promptly.

 

4.Project Completion:
– Projects are considered complete afterer the final walkthrough and once the last payment has been
made. Once the final payment is made, the job is considered completed in full and the workmanship
conducted has met all agreed-upon standards.

 

5. Client Responsibilities:
– Clients must ensure that the work area is accessible and free from obstacles.
– Valuable items should be removed or protected. Steven Lewis Painting & Decorating is not
responsible for damage to items not removed or protected by the client.

 

6. Customer Liability:
– Customers will be held liable for any added expenses due to negligence causing delays or damages to
our equipment, materials, or any items supplied for the project.

 

7. Materials and Colors:
– All materials and colors will be as specified in the quotation. Any changes requested by the client after
the project has started may incur additional costs. No projects will be scheduled until final colors and
sheens have been confirmed.

 

8. Health and Safety:
– Steven Lewis Painting & Decorating adheres to all health and safety regulations. Clients must inform
us of any potential hazards on the premises.

 

9. Warranty:
– We offer a one-year warranty on our workmanship. This warranty does not cover damage caused by
external factors such as weather, accidents, or client negligence.

 

10. Cancellation Policy:
– Cancellations must be made 3 days after the acceptance of the initial estimate. Deposits may be nonrefundable
if cancellation occurs after this period.

 

11. Liability:
– Steven Lewis Painting & Decorating carries liability insurance. We are not liable for any indirect or
consequential losses.

 

12. Dispute Resolution:
– Any disputes will be addressed promptly and fairly. If a resolution cannot be reached, the matter may
be referred to a mutually agreed-upon mediator.

 

13. Updates to Terms:
– We reserve the right to update our terms and conditions at any time as needed. Any updates will be
posted on our website and will take effect immediately.

 

14. Governing Law:
– These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the state in which our business operates.
