My name is Steven Lewis and I am the proud owner and founder of Steven Lewis Painting and Decorating LLC. At the young age of 16, I started my first summer job as a painter. While working this job I came to the realization that I have a true passion for painting, there is something so satisfying bringing such liveliness to a wall by simply adding a splash of color! I really gained a great asset finding out quickly that it takes a lot of hard work and effort to get something done that not only looks nice but will last. I then began to work with some of the biggest and best painting firms in west Michigan. One of the biggest downsides I noticed was the lack of marketing and services to include people at all financial levels. The companies that I worked for didn’t provides different services for everyone, so in 2017 I decided I was going to go out on a limb and start my own company built on hard work, determination, and integrity. I was going to provide quality services to everyone at an affordable rate. Although painting is where this all started, I grew an even bigger passion for decorating. Painting is a great way to bring life to a room but decorating can do just the same if not better. The main difference between a painter and a decorator in general is the knowledge of coatings. Painting contractors specialize primarily in liquid coating only. Where as a decorator not only specializes in liquid coating but also other wall coating and protection such as Wallpaper/Wallcovering, Wainscot, Feature walls,  Etc.
